Building the Nation 2025 – Jaipur Chapter: SMB

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer just shaping tomorrow—it is defining how people work and interact with technology today. At the recently organised Dell's Building the Nation event in Jaipur, experts and industry leaders highlighted how AI is shifting the focus of computing from large-scale, cloud-heavy infrastructures to real-time, device-level intelligence. The discussions reflected a decisive moment in technology’s evolution, where PCs themselves are becoming engines of intelligence through the addition of Neural Processing Units (NPUs).

The session opened with insights from Navjot Singh, Enterprise Account Executive at Dell, who noted how priorities in technology have changed. Not long ago, the global conversation revolved around Big Data and cloud computing. Yet that era has been overtaken by AI, which moves intelligence directly to the device. AI’s ability to process complexity makes it the dominant driver of innovation, shifting focus from remote servers to the real-time intelligence of personal devices.

Ashish Sethi, Partner Account Manager at Dell, explained how NPUs are redefining modern PCs. Unlike CPUs and GPUs, NPUs are designed for AI workloads such as translation, image recognition, and predictive analysis. With NPUs, devices process tasks locally, reducing latency, improving performance, and enhancing security. This means faster, more reliable, and cost-efficient workflows for professionals and organisations.

Dell also showcased its simplified product portfolio, now divided into Dell Pro (Latitude, OptiPlex) and Dell Pro Max (Precision workstations). This helps customers easily identify the right device. The company reaffirmed its commitment to open standards, avoiding vendor lock-in and citing its early adoption of USB Type-C charging as proof of customer-first innovation.

Also the highlight was the new Dell Pro Essential series, which is business-ready and affordable, starting at ₹31,999. It is designed for everyday business needs. Despite its affordability, Essentials doesn’t compromise on performance. It offers robust security, Full HD+ displays with a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to 10 hours of battery life, and MIL-STD-810G military-grade durability, ideal for the Gen Z workforce and SMEs alike. Plus, it supports open standards, ensuring compatibility with all peripherals, monitors, headsets, and more.

For Jaipur customers, the benefits were clear. With AI-first design, Dell PCs enable faster workflows, greater data security, and reduced cloud dependency. NPUs allow users to run AI models directly on their devices, making them ideal for professionals, analysts, and creators. With performance scaling across devices, customers can choose between essential AIPCs for daily needs and Copilot+ PCs for heavy workloads.

The event concluded with a strong message: Dell is not just responding to the AI revolution—it is shaping it. By embedding NPUs, simplifying its product lines, and maintaining open standards, Dell is equipping customers to thrive in the AI era. What was once handled only by servers and the cloud, is now available in the palm of the user.

The Jaipur gathering underscored that this is more than a tech upgrade—it is a fundamental rethinking of computing. As AI becomes integral to work and life, Dell’s AI-powered PCs stand as a bridge to the future. In Jaipur, the message resonated clearly: the age of AI is here, transforming how we work, create, and live.
